Smashing gemstones into molten gold is only really supposed to work with diamonds, but if you break enough stones, you'll find a standout 😂

This dark blue spinel had a natural seam through the center that I feared would break while setting, so it hung out in my gem tray until I decided to see if it would survive being torched with gold. The seam in the stone does look like it fractured anyway, but the whole thing is locked into a "natural" setting more secure than anything I could build. If anything happens to it (during normal wear), I'll work with you to replace it. 👍🏼

We produced several Association of Professional Piercers conference "Innovator Award" pieces, such as the Ghost in the Shell ear weights, Topo ear Weights, and Cryst ceramic body jewelry displays.

I can no longer make jewelry due to extensive hand/arm injuries sustained as a production stone carver, so this website has become a showcase of work from my fantastic peers. I hope you enjoy it :)
