I've been carving Chiapas Amber for many years and accumulated a significant amount of cut-off material that is beautiful and/or usable; it just doesn't work for us. I'm happy to make it available to other makers or rock nerds :) Amber is soft enough to be sanded and polished by hand. This material could be used for:

Carving
Tumbling
Inlay
Staring at
Being a weird pocket rock person (we see you)

Beads
Cabochons
Collector's specimens
Throwing at enemies (this is a weird flex)

Most of the material is thin translucent cut-offs from the exterior, sections of slabs we cut with inclusions or seams that weren't suitable for what we were making, or fractured sections of whole stones or in-progress work. All of it is genuine amber from the Chiapas region of Mexico with an estimated age of 24.5 million years.

We ship using USPS, UPS, and DHL, and we generally ship on Wednesday and Friday. You can see quotes for a particular service to your exact address at checkout.

Dendrite

Dendrite is the 2020's iteration of the body jewelry company Onetribe, created in 2003 by founder and lead maker Jared Karnes (that's me). Dendrite was known primarily for innovative body jewelry lapidary work and ear weight designs. We produced several Association of Professional Piercers conference "Innovator Award" pieces, such as the Ghost in the Shell ear weights, Topo ear Weights, and Cryst ceramic body jewelry displays.

I can no longer make jewelry due to extensive hand/arm injuries sustained as a production stone carver, so this website has become a showcase of work from my fantastic peers. I hope you enjoy it :)
